AirGrab WiFi Radar is a tool to display information about Apple Airport base stations and other WiFi (802.11b/g/n) wireless access points. Using AirGrab WiFi Radar you can determine most popular WiFi channels and select optimal channel for your WiFi network. Signal level and Noise level helps to diagnose common wireless network problems and optimally position your base station and or computer to achieve the best possible signal strength. Encryption status of network shows WEP, WPA, WPA2 modes of all immediately available WiFi networks.

Pros: AirGrab WiFi Radar is a tool that scans for Wireless base stations running WiFi or IEEE 802.11 protocol. It reports a host of useful information including Wireless Access Points (or base stations) within range, and helps the user select the optimal channel / access point pair that will enable the user to have the best wireless network performance. Signal level and noise level are displayed constantly and allow the user to decide on which access point would serve them the best. Graphs etc. are displayed wonderfully well as part of the attractive interface. These include WiFi Channels graph, Signal, noise, Signal to Noise ratio (SNR), transmission rates and connection quality.
It also displays information of what security (WEP, WPA, WPA2, TKIP, AES) is enabled on an access point. It also displays statistics about all currently connected wireless connections. Network administrators can use this to carry out site surveys, diagnose the connection quality and strength and also to diagnose connection problems. All in all, a very useful tool for users and administrators alike.
Cons: No real limitations in this package. The limitation of the some of the information not being 100% accurate is actually a limitation of the hardware on the Wireless cards. There is nothing anybody can do about this. The question of course is about the fact that the Wireless configuration utility (Windows or otherwise) is supposed to make the best selection on its own, so this may be an overhead. However, it still has a utility value for users as they can better understand the Wireless environment that they are in.
Overall: 5 stars. Excellent package, nice interface and it works really well.
